A 2.4GHz link is in the process of being aligned and tuned between Seymour Mountain and Nanaimo on Vancouver Island. The link distance is 77 km and link estimations have shown that it will be possible if tightly tuned.
The VINE radios at both ends have the extended frequency firmware modification added to them and may be used to avoid ISM noise.

Performance
The vertically polarized noise in the 2.4GHz band has shown to be very destructive to our link attempts. This is a spectrum view of the spectrum as viewed from Seymour Mountain aimed at Nanaimo. Channels 5-35 are ISM.

RSSI (dBm) v.s. Channel NumberWe are awaiting a move to horizontally polarized antennas on both end to lower the noise floor and gain back some much needed "dBs".
The link is currently mostly unusable as it floats +/- a few dBs from -92dBm. The receive sensitivity of the VINE is -89dBm.
