Linksys PAP2
As of earlier 2006 BCWARN has moved to the Linksys PAP2 Voice-Over-IP ATA. These ATA's produce great audio quality and allow for the use of the G729A licensed audio codec.
The PAP2 line has two telephone jacks which allow the end user to have two separete telephones connected on two separete phones lines or phone numbers. These are commonly used in a telephone / facsimile situation. Currently facsimile operation has not been tested on the BCWARN VOIP system. An example of the two line usage is in a repeater site configuration where you have the first line for the site phone and the second line available for a autopatch.
BCWARN currently has a number of these in operation in both a permanent installation and in grab'n'go kits.
