The BCWARN PBX offers a number of ways of calling out. All local calls within the 604/778 area codes are dialed locally through commercial telephone lines. At this point there are three commercial telephone lines available but we may add more in the near future.
Long distance calling is available but there is a toll on these calls. Long distance dialing is only to be used in an emergency or for official business.
Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) calls are handled by the PBX with physical Telus telephone lines attached. If all physical lines are occupied then the call will automatically route to the internet gateway as a backup.
Internal three digit extensions are strictly handled as voip calls within the BCWARN network. Equipment assigned to these three digit extensions include but are not limited to voip handsets/telephones, ATA's and software clients.
NOTE: PLEASE DIAL 9 BEFORE THE NUMBER WHEN CALLING OUTSIDE OF THE BCWARN NETWORK (i.e 96045551212)
